Home sleep apnoea test: what happens and who needs one
A home sleep apnoea test records breathing-related signals while you sleep at home. Depending on the device and pathway, it may measure oxygen levels, pulse, breathing effort, position, snoring, or airflow. It is commonly used when obstructive sleep apnoea is suspected.
Why home testing is used
A home sleep-study pathway can make assessment more practical because the recording happens in a normal sleep environment. The results still need appropriate interpretation and follow-up.
